Circle History - St. Joseph Circle - est. 1989
We started our circle in
1989. Our circle name, St. Joseph, was
suggested by Susan Brazier, the Association for Catholic Childhood President at
that time. St. Joseph was a person who
came to the aid of Mary and the child, Jesus, just as Association members come
to the aid of needy families. There was
also a strong connection among many of the members to St. Joseph Parish.
In 1992, the active members were Becky Bocian, Pat Brady, Pat Bredy, Trez Buckland, Pam Cochran, Jean Corr, Rita Hayes, Ellen Heath, Debra Hofbauer, Pat Jennings, Paula, Kimble, Karen Little, Mary Locke, Barb Niemer, Joan Niggemeyer, Lenette Peterson, Christine Throckmorton and Kathy Van Hollebeke.
Our first project was the Fantasy Fair Kids Booth. Another project was Bowling for Babies.
We were a young mothers circle. Babies were being born for the first ten years.
We are not as active as we used to be. Now we sell calendars, contribute to the Christmas Fund to buy gifts for the foster children and we have a yearly social.
