Circle History - Katherine Meloy Circle - est. 1960

The Katherine Meloy Circle was formed in 1960 with four original members: Maureen Allenbach, Kathy Manca, Teel McGough and Jean Niehaus.  These four women are still living and continue to play a very active role in the circle.  In 1960 they were all young mothers living in Magnolia.  They remember that their first fundraiser was an opening for a supermarket.  They invited four friends to join them at the open house.  Each received fifty cents for a total of $4.00.  They dutifully sent the money into the ACC treasurer.

They have come a long way since 1960.  Now Katherine Meloy Circle has a highly successful annual luncheon and fashion show and an equally successful biennial Magnolia Holiday Home Tour.

Over the years they have grown from a membership of four to a membership of over thirty women.  They continue to support the needs of the neediest children and just as important, they support each other.
