Circle History - Fr. Joseph Vogel Circle - est. 1974

We started on February 3, 1974.  that was thirty-four years ago.  Father Lovett, who was pastor of our parish at the time, suggested that we start a circle.  We decided on “Father Vogel Circle” because Father Vogel started St. Paul’s Parish.

Helen Jolly, president of the Association for Catholic Childhood, came to our first meeting to explain the mission of ACC.  She told us about the foster children and children who were available for adoption.  She also suggested how we might raise money for the care of these children. 

We started our circle with sixteen members.  Lucy Salle was our first president.  She is still a member.  At this time we have a membership of twenty-seven.
