At the tutoring centers, students build skills in reading and math, get help with homework, and strengthen their sense of self-esteem and self-respect. YTP students are wonderfully diverse, representing many nationalities, cultures, languages and religions. Anne Read-Anderson from the Fr. Mychal Judge Circle recently confirmed that she brought 6 layettes from their Circle to the Pregnancy Support office on Thursday.
The drop-off was hectic so she didn’t get any photos at that time (there were moms shopping, and lots of little kids running around; whoever accepted them had her hands full and we didn’t talk much). Anne was able to take a couple of photos of the completed layettes ahead of time. They are posted below, so all of us can enjoy their cuteness. Anne reported: It was a fun project for our circle! We sent around a sign-up list ahead of time and everyone brought their items (such as 6 baby blankets, a dozen bottles, 6 pacifiers, etc.) to our May meeting. Then we did a quick assembly line to put the baby items in the diaper bags. It was simple and very rewarding: who doesn’t like shopping for baby clothes? Pregnancy Support sure has been shown a lot of love from many ACC Circles this year!! Thank you Fr. Mychal Judge Circle for this recent donation. Both Katie McKay and St. Bridget Circle's recently donated many layettes to Pregnancy Support. The ladies reported how much fun they had accumulating the items and making up the layettes. This effort is a huge support for mothers with newborns, and a fantastic way ACC supports women and children in our community in Western Washington.
Every year this is the event we all can just enjoy, visit and have fun with fellow members.

Families will be able to access mentors and holistic wrap-around services from the time of awareness of pregnancy to the child’s fifth birthday. Once fully realized, the PREPARES network will provide meaningful, professional and sustainable support to vulnerable Washington mothers, fathers, and families as they nurture their children through pregnancy and early childhood. As we say goodbye to 2015, ACC reflects on what a great year it's been. We hosted several amazing events that were successful in raising funds and bringing our endowment up over the key $500,000 mark. This effort means we can earn and gift a larger percentage, supporting our mission to continue funding charities that assist women and children in Western Washington that so desperately need our support.
Our Celebration Memorial Mass helped us say goodbye to sisters as friends and members that we lost during the year. While it's a sad time, it's also celebration of their lives and the impact their faith and efforts had on us all. Candles were lit in their honor at the beautiful ceremony hosted by the Marjorie Ryan Circle at St. Catherine's of Siena. And now it's time to look forward to 2016, and our first big event of the year, which is our 14th Annual Labor of Love Online Auction. We ask that you participate in several ways: procuring, donating and bidding!! We have had 100% sell through on our items several years in a row. So... SAVE the DATES - Saturday, February 20 - Sunday, February 28th, 2016 and note our Procurement Deadline is February 12th, 2016. IMPORTANT LINKS ARE: |
